		Yellow Spring and the surrounding Capon Valley were surveyed by George Washington in the mid-1700's.
		The family remained in close contact with their Yellow Spring relatives, however, and when Robert was a child in the 1930's, his family spent many weekends and vacations at the home of his aunt and uncle, Lona and Clarence Cline.

		The Yellow Springs Board of Education considered these questions at its Oct. 24 Committee of the Whole meeting, which focused solely on the foreign language program at Yellow Springs High School.
		Prompting the discussion was a request by YSHS Principal John Gudgel to reactivate the Foreign Language Committee, a group of teachers, board members, administrators, students and villagers who in the past have acted as overseers of the school’s foreign language program.
