In an effort to get this thread on topic, I think it is very appropriate, since yum is the Yellow dog updater, modified.
I always thought that Yellow Dog was a Red Hat based distro anyway.

As its name implies, the Yellow Dog Updater, Modified evolved from the Yellow Dog Updater, Yup, which is part of the Yellow Dog Linux distribution for Macintosh computers.
