		To the east of Yeongam is the county of Jangheung, to the south are the counties of Haenam and Gangjin, and to the north is the city of Naju.
		Rivers in the county include the Yeongsan River (영산강, 榮山江), Sampo River (삼포강, 三浦江), Yeongamcheon (영암천, 靈岩川), Dogapcheon (도갑천, 道岬川) and the Songgyecheon (송계천, 松溪川).
		The most noteworthy destination in Yeongam is Wolchulsan, at 807 meters, and the accompanying Wolchulsan National Park.

		A not guilty plea was entered in Marion County Superior Court on behalf of the 28-year-old starting guard, who was booked for criminal recklessness, battery and disorderly conduct.
		He subsequently posted $10,000 bond and was released.
