  Welcome To Yibna
Yibna was mostly destroyed with the exception of couple of houses and the village mosque, but it needs serious renovation guys, any volunteers?
During Biblical period, Yibna was known by Jabneel, and the Romans called it Jamnia (Iamnia).
Yibna is the hometown of Abdel al-Ziz al-Rantisi, who is one of the most prominent political spokespersons of the "Islamic Palestinian Movement", better know as HAMAS.

According to eyewitnesses and official Palestinian sources more than 50 tanks, bulldozers and jeeps attacked Yibna Camp and Block L. Some of the troops went to the Hi Sultan area.
The first was through the Rafah/Egypt border crossing into Yibna and the second from the Israeli settlement of Morag into Tele Sultan, Tel Zorab, and Shaout areas.

They evacuated 15 houses and flattened them rendering their occupants homeless, the eyewitnesses said, adding that the Zionist firing led to the injury of five civilians.

Wawi's introduction to the bulldozers came in the 70s, when General Sharon, as he then was, bulldozed about 20,000 people from their homes in the Gaza Strip to widen roads as part of his strategy against the Palestine Liberation Organisation.
