Yigal Allon (Paicovitch) born in 1918 in Kfar Tavor, Palestine.
Allon later became Minister of Labour in 1961-1968, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister between 1974-1977.
Yigal Allon described the affect of psychological warfare on the Palestinian Arabs in the Galilee panhandle during the 1948 war:

An Israel statesman and military commander, Yigal Allon was born at Kfar Tavor in the Lower Galilee.
According to Allon's ideas on a peace settlement with Israel's neighbors, Judea and Samaria should be reunited with Jordan, but no Jordanian troops should be permitted to cross the Jordan River westward, and there should be a protective belt of Israel settlements along the Jordan Valley.
Additionally, Allon wrote in July, 1967, that Israel needed to include the road connecting Jerusalem to the Dead Sea as well as a widened Jerusalem corridor west of Ramallah and stressed the importance of Greater Jerusalem.

Defensible Borders for a Lasting Peace
In my view, these conventional military requirements for defensible borders from Allon's day are still a part of Israel's defense doctrine.
In 1997, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his view that Israel's future borders should be based on "Allon-Plus." Additionally, most of Israel's defense ministers, from Moshe Dayan through Yitzhak Rabin, also believed that an Israeli withdrawal to the 1967 lines, or close to them, would endanger Israel's very existence.

'The Deadlocked City': An Exchange - The New York Review of Books
Allon, later Avineri's boss in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, personally backed the first successful settlement attempt by religious fanatics (first as illegal "squatters") into the predominately fundamentalist Muslim town of Hebron.
As a result, Hebron became the festering source of dark hatreds and violent clashes that culminated in 1994 with the massacre by a settler of thirty Palestinians praying inside the main mosque.
At his urging, the original squatters' colony of Hebron was officially adopted and subsidized; the government built the settlers' houses on confiscated private land and surrounded them with barbed wire and searchlights from high watchtowers.

 The Allon Plan
Allon was Israel's foreign minister under the first Rabin government, and was one of Israel's greatest military minds.
Additionally, Allon wrote in July, 1967, that Israel needed to include the road connecting Jerusalem to the Dead Sea as well as a widened Jerusalem corridor west of Ramallah and stressed the importance of Greater Jerusalem.
Following the concepts of the Allon Plan, the 1967-1977 Israeli Labor governments created 21 settlements along the Jordan Valley and Eastern slopes of Samaria during that period, and avoided construction on the mountain ridge from Nablus to Jerusalem to Hebron.

Project for the New American Century
It was Israel’s foreign minister under the first Rabin government, Yigal Allon, who specified what “secure borders” meant in the pages of Foreign Affairs in October 1976.
Allon, one of Israel’s greatest military minds, argued that Israel would need to preserve a strategic zone in the eastern West Bank running up from the Jordan Valley to the eastern slopes of the West Bank hill ridge.
The “Allon Plan” was originally conceived when Middle Eastern armies were relatively small and consisted of largely slow infantry formations.

The most important thing one could say about Allon High is that the vast majority of students, if not them all, are very pleased with it, and it's all much better and more fun than any of us thought.
We have all acquired many new friends here in Allon, but then again, with over 1200 students in a school it's not too hard to find people with common interests and hobbies.

On July 26, 1967, Defense Minister Yigal Allon presented a plan to then-Prime Minister Levi Eshkol for a settlement with the Palestinians, which came to be known as the Allon Plan.
Jordan refused to consider any solution that allowed Israel to annex large parts of the West Bank.
Though the Allon plan itself became largely irrelevant after King Hussein gave up Jordanian control of the West Bank in the 80s, the elements of the plan continue to influence Israeli strategic thinking and peace proposals.
