Yilan County (宜蘭縣, (Click link for more info and facts about pinyin) pinyin: Yílán Xiàn, (A native or inhabitant of Taiwan) Taiwanese: Gî-lân-kōan) is a county in Northeastern (A government on the island of Taiwan established in 1949 by Chiang Kai-shek after the conquest of mainland China by the communists led by Mao Zedong) Taiwan.
Yilan County controls one township-level cities (縣轄市;), three urban townships (鎮;), and eight rural townships (鄉;).
The number of people attending has grown each year since the festival was first held in 1996, surpassing one million visits for the first time in 2002.
