Ying Chen (应晨, pinyin:Yìng Chén) (born 1961) is a Chinese Canadian author.
Born in 1961 in Shanghai, she now lives in Vancouver and is the mother of two children.
Ying Chen's novels include La mémoire de l'eau, Les lettres chinoises, L'ingratitude (which won the Prix Québec-Paris), Immobile (which won the Prix Alfred-DesRochers), Le champ dans la mer and Querelle d'un squelette avec son double.

The neighbor dropped her off at the home of a Thai national, where, she was told, she would stay for the night.

The Chen family: (and the extended Wang family)
Considering there were 11 of them, and around 50 members in my dad's generation, it is quite amazing how I can still keep contact with many of these extended family members.
Norman Wang and Fred Chen established a family nexus website for all of us to keep track of where everyone is and share photos, etc. I really appreciate how Aunt Lily and many of the family members put in effort to keep in touch with everyone.
