In the collation of stud bull’s test values in Shimane prefecture for 1995, Itofuji’s BMS came second only to Kanetakafuku, his DG was 3rd amongst the group of 31 head tested and the balance between his meat quality and daily gain led the field in the results.

Almost everywhere in Shimane, even the way way away mountain villages can get some type of broadband connection to the internet for a fairly nice flat rate per month.
Regarding internet: when I arrived in Shimane, I was under the impression that internet access would be very easy to obtain.

Seems I'll be going to the prefecture (like a state or province) of Shimane, and more specifically to the town of Yokota.
There's more than one Yokota in Japan, just as there's more than one Springfield in the US; here's the one where I'll be.
As far as I can tell from a quick google search, Shimane prefecture is probably going to be something like Delaware in terms of size, population, population density, or excitement.
