Yolo County is located in the northern part of the U.S. state of California, bordered by the counties of Sacramento, Solano, Napa, Lake, Colusa, and Sutter.
Yolo County was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood.
In the county the population is spread out with 25.20% under the age of 18, 18.30% from 18 to 24, 28.20% from 25 to 44, 18.90% from 45 to 64, and 9.40% who are 65 years of age or older.
