	Yomp - Yomp for Schools
		Yomp is a new teaching tool that introduces the concepts and practice behind enterprise and entrepreneurship within the schools environment from Key Stage 2 through to A-level.
		Yomp is simple to use within the classroom environment and has been specifically designed to be easy to distribute and collect for repeat use.
		Yomp provides a wide range of company scenarios for students to use as the basis of their learning, with the majority of the more advanced cases being based on real companies, allowing students to compare their approach to that of a real company.

		Yomp is British Army military slang describing a fast, long distance march carrying full kit.
		The most famous yomp of recent times was during the Falklands War.
		After disembarking from carrier ships at San Carlos on the East Falklands, on May 21st, troops yomped with their equipment across the length of the islands, all the way to Port Stanley, which was retaken on 28th May.

	Yomp (computer game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Yomp was a computer game for the ZX Spectrum released in 1983.
		The name of the game comes from the military slang Yomp, made popular by the Falklands War.
		The game was basically a Frogger clone, the player had to guide a soldier across a road of speeding army trucks and then across a minefield.

		Yomp 2005 - The 'Great North Air Ambulance Service' was nominated as a major charity to be funded by sponsorship in the 23rd Mallerstang Horseshoe and Nine Standards Yomp 2005.
		£1,000 from the proceeds of the Yomp was subsequently donated to the cause.
		Yomp 2006 - The 'Great North Air Ambulance Service' again benefited from this annual fund raising event.

		The competition was held in the Caird Hall, Dundee, and saw our interns enter with their teams to develop, plan and present a business strategy for a randomly assigned business scenario, which they tirelessly worked on during the day long competition.

		David McLamont, one of the men who put the word YOMP into the English language, has set off on another footslogging marathon...
		The 54-year-old former Royal Marine Commando has forsaken his isolated cottage in the Galloway Hills to march round the entire coastline of Britain to raise money to take Falklands veterans back to the farflung South Atlantic islands to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the conflict.
		They described the 90-mile forced march as a yomp - a word borrowed from the Norwegian forces with whom they regularly exercised which later forced its way into the English dictionary.

		Played out at the Royal William Yard in Plymouth, Yomp is a business game which took students through the process of setting up a business, giving an insight into what is needed to run a business and for a successful business plan.
		The person in the Yomp elevator was Nick Mayer of Davis Langdon, sponsor of this event, with the most persuasive finalist winning £150 in prize money.
		The University of Plymouth is hosting a South West Regional Heat for Yomping the Nations on 24 January 2007, to be held at the Robbins Conference Centre.

		Teams from ten Welsh Universities will gather for the one day event at Cardiff University’s Conference Centre, University Hall to win £500 and a place in the UK final in London in December and a share of a £10,000 prize.

		During the day of the YOMP, the eight Lampeter students, from departments as diverse as Ancient History and Information Technology had to mould themselves into the Board of a theoretical design and manufacturing business.
