Campas came back with seven straight wins, including one that gave him the WBO's NABO regional Welterweight title, when he knocked out former world champion Genaro Leon in three rounds, August 7 of 1995.

Campas was indeed a warrior and he would drop Trinidad in the 2nd round of that marvelous fight in which Trinidad would comeback from that knockdown and then go on to deliver some heavy bombs that would have Yori Boy walking like a zombie with his head tilted back from the barrage of punches.
Yori Boy would go on to win 7 consecutive fights after his encounter with Trinidad, having a lone loss on his record (64-1) when he took on the unknown Lopez for the WBO welterweight title.
Campas had the reputation of a warrior who would leave everything in the ring and had to be practically killed to loose a fight.

"Golden Boy" a 25-1 favorite in tune-up for September rematch with Shane Mosley, vs. Campas, who's been stopped in all five losses, surrendering in the last four at the sight of his own blood.
Campas was impressive in his 8th round tko win over the comebacking, 37-year-old Tony Ayala in July of 2000.
If he cuts Campas early in the fight it could be a short night and onto Mosley.
