		York Mills Road is a east-west route in Toronto, Ontario, Canada named for the community of York Mills or Hoggs Hollow.
		The name York refers to the former County of York, containing the county town (pre-1834), the forerunner to modern day Toronto and Mills refers to the grist and saw mills that dotted the west Don River valley from 1804 until 1926.
		The York Mills subway station includes a platform for several local bus routes as well as GO Transit bus connections to the north (Newmarket), west (Brampton), and east (Oshawa).

	Continental Divide Monument - New York Mills - History of Otter Tail County Minnesota
		The Centennial Monument, located in Central Park, commemorates the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of New York Mills and the historical significance of the geographical setting of New York Mills, MN.
		The plaque goes on to explain that the west-side of New York Mills was within "Rupert's Land" granted by King Charles II in 1672 by "governors and advertisers trading in Hudson's Bay." In 1818 the land drained by the Red River, which lies south of the 49th parallel was released by the United Kingdom.
		The east-side of New York Mills was within the Louisiana Territory, which was under the rule of Spain and France at alternating times from the 16th century until 1803, when ceded to the United States by Napoleon.
