Yoshiki (吉城郡; -gun) was a district located in Gifu, Japan.
The district was dissolved on February 1, 2005 when the town and village in the district merged into the expanded city of Takayama.
As of 2003, the district had an estimated population of 11,938 and a density of 21.16 persons per km².

 AREA AND GEOLOGICAL FEATURES
Linked with the Ohno district to the east, south, and west and to the Yoshiki district to the north, Takayama is located at 137 degrees 16 minutes east longitude and 36 degrees 9 minutes latitude.
Most of the central urban area of Takayama is composed of a diluvium formation, as is the area in the southern part of town, ranging from an altitude of 650m (2132 feet) to 1142m (3745 feet) above sea level, near the Genji mountain.
In the western part of the city, the Nakayama and Mihaka mountain districts are categorized as quartz porphyry, and the Shingu and Yokamachi districts, at an altitude of about 604m (1980 feet) above sea level, are also of the diluvium formation.

HIROSHIMA (Kyodo) An eight-year sentence for a woman convicted of playing a role in the fatal abuse of her two children was increased Tuesday to 12 years by the Hiroshima High Court.
The district court found Segawa guilty of colluding with her 32-year-old boyfriend, Kenichi Takao, in the death of her 6-year-old son, Yoshiki, and 4-year-old daughter, Shoko.
The high court upheld the prosecutors' appeal that the district court decision was too lenient.

Princess Sayako's engagement to a Tokyo city bureaucrat, a commoner, became official Thursday with an announcement by Japan's Imperial Household Agency.
Japan had eagerly awaited word of the engagement between Sayako, 35, the only daughter of Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, and Yoshiki Kuroda, 39.
