Albert Einstein - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Einstein's key contribution is his assertion that energy quantization is a general, intrinsic property of light, rather than a particular constraint of the interaction between matter and light, as Planck believed.
Einstein also assisted Erwin Schrödinger in the development of the quantum Boltzmann distribution, a mixed classical and quantum mechanical gas model although he realized that this was less significant than the Bose-Einstein model and declined to have his name included on the paper.
Einstein's research efforts after developing the theory of general relativity consisted primarily of a long series of attempts to generalize his theory of gravitation in order to unify and simplify the fundamental laws of physics, particularly gravitation and electromagnetism.

Young Einstein the genius - Science - www.theage.com.au
By another, Einstein was inspired by a stream of patents on timekeeping: the age of the telegraph and the steam train meant the co-ordination of the clock tower at the end of his road with clocks in other towns was important.
Einstein called this the most important consequence of his relativity theory, and the atom bomb was to provide the most dramatic vindication - though Einstein had nothing to do with its development.
Einstein had wrestled with the ideas since he was 16, when he wondered what it would be like to ride a light beam.

E =mc² is born, and Einstein, at the prompting of his father, heads off to mainland Australia to get a patent on his theorem and make lots of money, and perhaps invent rock and roll and surfing too.

In photos and drawings, Einstein is almost always the detached, elderly professor with unruly white hair, a lined face, sloping shoulders, and a contemplative gaze, occasionally given to bemusement.
This Einstein is the oracle staring at us from the cover of Time magazine's ''Person of the Century'' issue in 1999, the sage in Apple's ''Think Different'' ad campaign, the wizened elder of classroom posters, postage stamps, and his own bobble-head doll.
That Einstein was laboring at all might surprise those who are only familiar with his mass-media image, which hides the exhausting process of trial and error at the heart of all science.

 Albert Einstein
By this time it was obvious that Albert Einstein was an unusual young man, whose greatest pleasure and satisfaction was in thinking about scientific theory, and who never wore socks ('not even when he was invited to the White House!' his secretary later revealed).
Albert Einstein was born a German, took Swiss nationality in 1900 and German-Swiss nationality after the war, renounced German citizenship in 1933, and became an American citizen in 1940.
Einstein's view was straightforward, non-political and non-sectarian: what intellectuals could and should do was promote international reconciliation through their scientific work and artistic achievements: 'creative work lifts people above personal and selfish national aims'.

Serious is the star/director/writer/co-producer of "Young Einstein," the latest in Australian film imports and the movie that may break the "Airplane!" record for anachronisms.
Einstein gets a room in a cheap hotel, where the local prostitutes woo him to no avail, and soon Preston has stolen Einstein's theory for the purpose of making money from a new brewery.
"Young Einstein" is rated PG, but there's nothing that's really offensive — not the prostitutes that Einstein innocently rebuffs, not the nude backsides of male inmates in the asylum and not the brief moment of Marie starting to undress for bed.

"Young Einstein" is good to look at and good to listen to, and while it's admittedly an amiable little film, it does nothing to elicit outright admiration.
The setting for the story is 1905, where Albert Einstein is a young man living with his mum and dad (Peewee Wilson and Su Cruickshank) on a tiny farm in the hinterlands of Tasmania, an island off the south coast of Australia.
"Young Einstein" attempts to be an offbeat farce, a far-out comedy of the absurd.

"Young Einstein" has won a great deal of attention in Australia, where Serious has become the biggest homegrown star since Paul Hogan, and the saga of how he got this movie made - as the co-producer and co-writer as well as star - is intriguing enough to make a movie of its own.
"Young Einstein", being a relatively low-scale movie (in terms of budget) has a somewhat limited level of presence online, however, and possibly due to the production company (Warner Bros.) there does appear to be a relatively large amount of reviews and there is also the dedicated number of fan pages.
"Young Einstein" is the story of what could have been, if Albert Einstein was born and bread in Tasmania on his parent’s apple farm.
