In law, a youth is a person who is neither an adult nor a child, but somewhere in between, commonly called a teenager.
The age in which a person is considered a "youth," and thus eligible for special treatment under the law varies around the world.
Commonly, a youth is defined as being somewhere between age 12 and age 25, with different countries and administrative regions choosing more narrow definitions within that frame.

The greatest increase in the youth participant knowledge was in quality assurance concepts, with a difference of.88 (on a scale of 1 to 4) between the mean pre and post scores.
Youths increased knowledge of quality assurance concepts contributed to an attitude change regarding the responsibilities involved with raising livestock for food and the importance of quality assurance (Table 2).
On the opposite end, pre scores show that youth had more knowledge of the environmental needs of animals and basic nutritional requirements prior to training, and so, while their knowledge still increased, it was to a lesser degree.

The respondents listened to three sample programs dealing with peer pressure, rape and conflict resolution, and commented that the programs were positive because they portrayed true-life situations and experiences, reflected valuable lessons of life, and were capable of inducing positive change in society.
During some of the episodes, the emotions evoked among the youth were quite intense, reflecting an inner resolve to deal with the issues raised.
The drama's favourite character amongst both the youth and adult respondents was TJ, the twenty-three year old DJ who usually reflects the voice of reason.
