	Yuriria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Yuririapundaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, also known as Yuriria, is one of 46 municipalities in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
		Yuriria is in the "Bajio", or southern part, of Guanajuato, and therefore it is relatively close to the bordering state of Michoacan.
		Yuriria has many structural, as well as geographical icons, that throughout the years have become major sight locations in the state of Guanajuato.

		On the north side of town is the Laguna de Yuriria and on the south lies the small crater lake La Joya or La Alberca, known in the 1500s as El Lago del Sangre (Blood Lake).

		On September 26, 1998, fishermen reported to the director of the Committee for the Protection of Flora and Fauna of the Yuriria Lagoon that they had found 100 dead migratory ducks in the Yuriria Lagoon.
		The Yuriria Lagoon is located in the southwest corner of the State of Guanajuato.
		At the December 10 meeting, officials decided to release 200 birds at the larger Solis dam reservoir south of Yuriria.
