Let me introduce you to the ZTT discussion board "The Blue Board" and further ZTT resources on the web.
Historically, the most important starting point is the ZTT Module of Lazlo Nibble's Discography Machine, leading to the ZTT discography, the ZTT mailing list and providing links to many further locations of ZTT related pages.
To complete the context, find out something about Trevor Horn - not only co-founder, co-owner and musical director of ZTT, but also the '80s production genius par excellence, in the first degree.

Trevor Horn Worship Hall - ZTT - The Label of Trevor Horn
ZTT stands for Zang Tuum Tumb, a term found in a poem and in "The Art of Noises", a book of the Futurist-movement in Italy at the beginning of the 20th century.
The third ZTT group was Propaganda from Duesseldorf, Germany, according to Paul Morley ZTT's answer to the "Thompson Twins".
Morley said, ZTT's main aim was to reestablish the glory of pop-records as one of the fanciest and most fascinating ways of communication in the twentieth century and to make ZTT the most interesting, provocative, crazy and unpredictable record label of the eighties.

 BBC - h2g2 - ZTT Records 1983-1988 - A645428
The first ZTT release, in September 1983, was entitled Into Battle with the Art of Noise and was a rather bizarre 'albumette' (an EP) that came complete with pseudo-intellectual sleeve notes written by Morley (these and the song titles were his only contribution to the group).
The first three artists to be signed to ZTT were Art of Noise, German pop group Propaganda and Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
During their first few years ZTT achieved an unprecedented amount of success for a fledgling record company, largely because of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, although the successes of the other two artists should not be ignored (three UK top-30 singles and two UK top-30 LPs).

In fact, ZTT operated as a sort of spy in the house of early-'80s pop.
The members credited on their ZTT albums were a producer (Horn), a publicist (Morley), a sound engineer (Gary Langan), an arranger/keyboardist (Anne Dudley), and a Fairlight synthesizer programmer (J.J. Jeczalik).
In 1989, Graham Massey's 808 State emerged on ZTT in the middle of the house-music explosion, but Massey was much more far-sighted than most of his dance contemporaries.

Dusty Groove America - Search: ZTT -- All Categories
The set captures the group at their best -- a time when they were still working with Trevor Horn, and managing to come up with creatively funky and sonically mindblowing numbers that fused hip hop production, electronics, and some of the chunkier pop work that Horn had been doing with bigger groups at the time.
At the time of the set, the group was riding high on the success and controversy of their singles "Relax" and "Two Tribes" -- but in the ambitious ZTT mode, sought to expand their sound way past familiar hits, and into a realm of sonic exploration that rivaled that of labelmates Art Of Noise.
Horn is nicely restrained in his presentation of Lisa -- never resorting to too many tricks or studio gimmicks, and instead giving plenty of space to the soulful expression of her vocals -- in a mode that's quite different from the classic ZTT sound of the 80s.
