 | | You don't have to listen to "Machine" for very long to realize that this disc, the band's sophomore effort, is much heavier and roars more profusely than their first album. |
 | | "Machine" is dragged down a little because some songs go no where (see "Permanence"), but all in all, it's a worthy listen. |
 | | Other standout tracks are the ultra catchy single "This Is Not," "Otsego Undead" and "Cold" (which both have atmospheric, twinkling synthesizers, a catchy drum beat, and punching guitars), the buzzsaw guitars on "...In A Bag," the very creepy and sinister title track, and the mysterious instrumental, "A Dios Alma Perdida," which closes out the album. |
