Further on in this description, it is indicated that families in France use this coat of arms, along with the Polish city’s civic arms for the city of Łowicz.
Arms: Azure, a horseshoe argent, surmounted of a cross patée, or, mantled of his liveries, whereupon is set for a crest: out of a ducal coronet a demi greyhound rampant, collared and leashed, all proper.
Arms: gules, between a crescent and increscent or, a sword in pale hilt and pommel to chief, the blade end debruised, all proper.

Plocens, however, ascribed no coat of arms to him, and said of him only that he lived of a noble clan, but Paprocki in 0 herbach writes explicitly of him that he was a Jastrzebczyk.
So this is a very old coat of arms, and evidently highly regarded for its bearers even during the days of the pagan monarchs in Poland; but from what it originated is hard to guess, in view of its antiquity.
Arms: Gules, on a mound vert, a ram argent, stained with blood from the sinister flank.

The Delia is a outer coat that preceded the Kontuz and was used until about the1650s, perhaps a bit longer in the full-fur winter version.
This is slightly more shaped at the waist and torso than Polish coats, but fix that, make right breast over left, add fullness to the skirt, get rid of the pocket and change the sleeve and it is close to being like a zupan.
The skirt fullness is actually the giveaway at a distance - Polish coats always accommodate the hang over the horse, while western coats fake it perhaps because they were more often on foot, but mostly to save a few coins.

that night in zagloba, you met a group of people who'd taken the chance and moved to a new country to make a better life.
standing outside room1004 with a crate of beer under your arm, stubbing a cigarette and waiting to be buzzed back downstairs to the studio, you can't help but watch three greasy pigeons picking their way through a puddle of vommit that sits at the bottom of a streaked graffiti wall across the lotts
