Armed with two of the most unergonomically designed controllers of all-time, a "Zapper" Light-Gun, and a little gray box that you could put other, littler gray boxes into, I was good to go.
I've done experiments involving plugging the Zapper into a different Nintendo and shooting it at the screen with Duck Hunt playing on it.
I still haven't gotten the results back from the lab, but I think we all know that something fishy is going on.

My favorite gun series of all time (and I have many many gun games) is the Point Blank series for the PS1.
It's reasonable to believe that any shooter will essentially be a light gun game, pointing at the screen and shooting targets (at least that's what their demo showed).
The only light gun game I bothered to play recently is Point Blank 3, it is tons of fun but is a PSX game, however don't let that stop you, did they ever release a PS2 version?

I know for a fact that the guns used inspired the Sega Zapper light gun.) Anyway, it's a long and tough game, but it gets my vote as one of the better SMS games out there.
They have their own statistics and powers too (Apple is more agile but weak; Champ always has a level 3 gun and take lots of hit but is slow).
Some of the sound effects are a bit weak, like when you jump or take damage, but the explosions and gun shots are pretty cool.
