Zelenogorsk is a suburb of Saint Petersburg, located in a gorgeous part of the Karelian Isthmus on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, about 50 kilometers North-West of central Saint Petersburg.
Formally, Zelenogorsk is an integral part of the Saint Petersburg recreation area.
It is known as a summer resort for wealthy Petersburgers since 1870, when the railway between Vyborg and Petersburg was build.
