MacNN | MacNN | The Macintosh News Network
Zettabyte today announced that it will begin selling a SuperDrive-equipped eMac, replacing the machine's built-in CD-RW drive with a CD-RW/DVD-RW mechanism that allows users to view and burn DVDs.
Anyone considering purchasing one of these from Zettabyte should be aware that Zettabyte does not appear to be an authorized Apple dealer, particularly not for Internet sales (at least, they're not listed as an authorized dealer in the Apple retailer database on Apple's web site).
If that's the case, since the eMac is sold through a non-autorized reseller who has "modified" the system by the installation of the SuperDrive, the Apple warranty may be void.
