		Zhonghu is a Chinese orchestral instrument and a solo instrument.
		Zhonghu (two string viola) This middle hu is an alto erhu of large dimensions in the neck and resonator, developed in the 1940s in an attempt to build Chinese instruments in families As in their constructions the two types are similar in performing techniques.

		A dahu, a little larger than a zhonghu, that I played on several years ago was much less enjoyable in terms of tone and response.
		I'm thinking of getting a Zhonghu but only if it is possible to learn from home, from books,cd's or dvd's.
