Zipacna - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Zipacna was characterized as a large caiman and often boasted to be the creator of the mountains.
Zipacna emerged from his hole after the boys had passed out, and with his massive strength he felled the column and caused the house to crash down upon the sleeping boys, killing the lot without a single survivor.
The account of Zipacna "entering" in search of the crab (which is specified to be a female), in particular his going in "on his back" on the second try, seems to be a parody of sexual intercourse.

Lord Zipacna - The Midas Array
Zipacna is much more fortunate than these “bottom feeders.” A hundred years ago Zipacna was a commander in Ra’s army and had gained much respect among the troops under his command.
Zipacna now had an outpost, an army and several Ha’tak-class vessels at his disposal but knew that these probably would not save him from the wrath of Apophis or Ra when they could spare sufficient assets to compose an appropriate response to Zipacna’s insurrection.
Apophis almost killed Zipacna for the outrage of approaching him and trying to bargain for an outpost he had taken from Apophis, but he reconsidered, deciding the value of Zipacna’s strategic knowledge and the rage of his nemesis when Ra learned of Zipacna’s switched allegiance just barely outweighed the cost of an outpost.
