Zivko Radisic: Serb presidential representative and chair of the presidency, which rotates every two years.
Radisic, a member of the Socialist Party, is a relative moderate and ally of Biljana Plavsic, the Western-backed candidate defeated by hardliner Nikola Poplasen in the 1998 race for president of the Bosnian Serb Republic.
Radisic replaces Momcilo Krajisnik, the ultranationalist Serb businessman and a close friend of Radovan Karadzic, the notorious former Bosnian Serb leader indicted by the U.N. tribunal for war crimes.

The new member of the three-man Bosnia-Herzegovina presidency, Zivko Radisic, was born on Mt Kozara in 1937.
Political scientist by vocation, Radisic was Mayor of Banja LUka from 1977 to 1982, and Bosnia-Herzegovina's defen ce minister in former Yugoslavia.
Radisic said no Bosnia-Herzegovina was possible witho ut securing the equality of its two entities, the Republika Srpska and the Moslem-Croat federation, and its three peoples.

The alliance is a coalition of five left of center parties: the Socialist Party, led by former Banja Luka mayor Zivko Radisic; the Independent Social Democrats; the Yugoslav Union of the Left; the Social Liberal Party; and the New Radical Party.
Alliance chairman Zivko Radisic in a reference to last year's defeat of Bosnian Serb forces during the final Croat/Muslim offensive, expressed relief that the rally could be held in Prnjavor at all rather than "somewhere on the other side of the Drina," the river that forms the border between Republika Srpska and Serbia.
While Radisic was speaking, the lights went out and the rally was plunged into ten minutes of darkness.

The OHR was therefore surprised - nay, extremely concerned - to learn that presidency member Zivko Radisic and the Republika Srpska National Assembly speaker Petar Djokic met last Saturday, the 9th of October, with Slobodan Milosevic in Belgrade.
Radisic's invocation of the Vital Interest Clause was motivated only by concern for the interests of the Republika Srpska.
The OHR in any case urges that the invocation does not, or should not, disrupt the work of the presidency in any way or paralyze this important common institution, which should be dealing with more important, specific issues.

The three presidency members -- Serb Zivko Radisic, who is the current chairman, Croat Ante Jelavic and Muslim Halid Genjac -- gave Kostunica a warm welcome, joining hands in a common handshake.
Radisic said the two countries, which established diplomatic ties last month and signed a protocol on cooperation between their foreign ministries on Friday, would open embassies in each other´s capitals soon and start consular work this month.
A new interstate council would meet in Belgrade next month and was expected to sign agreements on free trade, protection of investments and double taxation.

At a press conference in Banja Luka Radisic stated that in 50 years of existence this was the most brutal attack of the NATO on the democratic and sovereign country, democratic and peaceful process, as well as entire results which are accomplished in these territories and wider.
Radisic appealed on all relevant international factors, the Security Council, as well as and public of the NATO alliance members to immediately stop blood-shedding and military activities.

 NATO Update: First visit of Bosnian Tri-Presidency to NATO HQ - 13 March 2002
Mr Beriz Belkic, the Chairman of the Presidency, Mr Jozo Krizanovic and Mr Zivko Radisic met NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson and the Alliance's most important decision making body - the North Atlantic Council.
Their discussions focused on the general situation in the Balkans, progress made in downsizing and restructuring the armed forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the strengthening of state-level institutions, measures to fulfil Bosnia's obligations in support of the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia, the return of displaced persons and refugees and the strengthening of public security.
The Tri-Presidency was accompanied by other high-level government officials, including representatives from the Standing Committee for Military Matters, which is a state-level coordinating body for defence and military matters in Bosnia.

Croatian President Stipe Mesic and his Yugoslav counterpart Vojislav Kostunica met without interpreters in Sarajevo on 15 July with the three members of the Bosnian joint Presidency: Beriz Belkic, Zivko Radisic, and Jozo Krizanovic, international media reported (see "RFE/RL Newsline," 15 July 2002).
The participants issued a joint declaration agreeing to respect international frontiers; implement the 1995 Dayton agreement; promote refugee return, European integration, and regional cooperation; combat terrorism and organized crime; and work toward bilateral agreements aimed at visa-free travel, free trade, and providing investment guarantees.
