Born in the village of Brezovo, Plovdiv region, Boyadzhiev graduated in painting from the Sofia Academy of Fine Arts in 1932.

PM Simeon Saxe-Coburg showed great interest for the masterpieces of Bulgarian genius Zlatyu Boyadzhiev at the opening of a 100th anniversary exhibit in Sofia.
Dozens of residents and guests of Bulgaria's capital Sofia flocked together at the special exhibition marking the 100th birth anniversary of eminent artist Zlatyu Boyadzhiev.
Boyadzhiev, who was born in the village of Brezovo, did not give up painting to the very end of his life in 1976, despite a heavy brain hemorrhage he suffered in 1951.
