Zolder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
 | | The Circuit Zolder, also known as Circuit Terlaemen, is an undulating 3.977 km (2.622-mile) motorsport race track in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. |
 | | Unfortunately, Zolder is probably best remembered as the place Gilles Villeneuve lost his life during qualifying at the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix, an event that signified the beginning of the end for the Flemish circuit as a Formula One venue (although the accident was not at all caused by problems with the track). |
 | | Now, Zolder hosts a round of the World Series by Renault championship, as well as the national GT Belcar championship, including the Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder, and many more. |
