Zombie - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Zombie is the title of Michael Slade's fifth book in the Special X series of crime novels, it is also known as Evil Eye.
His contempt for zombies and other such monsters (despite mistaking ravers for zombies) has led to use of the catchphrase, "I loathe the undead", a sentimentality used by gamers and readers of the comic.
Zombies are common foes in horror-themed computer and video games, as well as being a primary element in games such as Resident Evil, Stubbs the Zombie and Dead Rising.

Many people are skeptical of the existence of zombies, which I take to mean they are skeptical that a dead person could be revived with or without retaining his or her "soul" or "self-consciousness" or "mind." Once you are dead, you are dead forever.

 Zombies
Zombies are exactly like us in all physical respects but have no conscious experiences: by definition there is ‘nothing it is like’ to be a zombie.
If zombies are to be counterexamples to physicalism, it is not enough for them to be behaviorally and functionally like normal human beings: plenty of physicalists accept that merely behavioral or functional duplicates of ourselves might lack qualia.
For the zombie idea implies a conception of phenomenal consciousness on which it would be conceivable that a person's qualia should be stripped off like a jacket, leaving a fully functioning body.
