The Municipal Zoo, as it came to be called, gradually fell into disrepair and in 1984 was named one of the ten worst zoos in the country.

The twins are the first offspring of Zoo Atlanta's newest silverback, Taz, and the third and fourth offspring for Kuchi.
"The Zoo Atlanta family is elated at the news of twin gorilla babies," Dennis Kelly, Zoo Atlanta president and CEO, said in a news release.
Zoo Atlanta's team of primate experts and veterinary staff plan to monitor Kuchi and the twins closely.

The zoo's 7-year-old giant panda, Lun Lun, is showing symptoms of a pregnancy, and she's been removed from public view while zoo officials watch her round-the-clock for a possible birth.
A panda cub was born at the National Zoo in Washington earlier this month, and zoo officials have said the baby appears to be thriving.
Zoo officials announced in March that Lun Lun had been artificially inseminated, and that if she was pregnant she would give birth by August.

I feel that the Atlanta Zoo is something that everyone should miss because of the poor views at some exhibits and the High Prices to get into the zoo.
