		Zool 2 has odd music that may not be outstanding, but some of it is strangely appealing.
		The graphics in Zool 2 are generally very plain and they have a 16-bit look to them.
		Zool 2 isn't the best Jaguar platform game overall (that would be Rayman), but it is a decent game that's mildly entertaining.

		Now, back when I gave Zool that huge score, putting it in the stratosphere of the AF scoring range along with a mere handful of other games that got so close to (but still so far away from) the perfect score, some people complained.
		Zool 2 takes everything that was great about the first game and retains it.
		This was by far the most annoying aspect of the original Zool, because getting Zool to ascend the walls by bouncing off, and sticking back on was a tad tricky to control, and when he hit a Chocolate Spiky he was flung off the wall in a way that was most difficult to handle.

		Zool and Zool 2 are above-average 2D platformers from Gremlin that are quite obviously ri....err, I mean, 'inspired' by SEGA's best-selling Sonic games.
		Although the premise is passable and the graphics are quite nice, both Zool games are unfortunately very repetitive: despite having a good number of levels (18 stages spanning 6 worlds), the levels don't look very different from each other.
		Zool 2 is a much better and more varied game because you can control Zool's female sidekick named Zooz, who can break grounds beneath her while Zool can only break ceilings above his head.

		I remember getting an issue of one of the British ST mags once (ST Format, I think it was, or maybe ST Action) that had a review of Zool 2 inside and a Chupa Chups (the candy maker is featured prominently in the game) lollipop taped to the cover of the magazine.
		The reason that Zool 2 scored so high for me is that the game had the perfect blend of speed and platforming.
		Zool 2 actually ranks up there with Mario for me, and it is one of the Jaguar games that I'll still pull out and play through every so often.

		As Zool, the Ninja from the Nth Dimension, you battle through several different levels, fighting manic toys, rioting sweets, lethal tools and all manner of fairly imaginative nasties, each level culminating in a boss of some description.
		Zool seeks to be the home computer Sonic, but never quite makes it.
		There is a Zool 2, but this hasn't been released on the Acorn platform, and you could safely bet money that it never will be.

		Along with Bubsy, another recent Jaguar release, Zool 2 helps to fill the platform-game void for the Jag, at least until Rayman comes out.
		Zool and Zooz themselves are quite nice, with details like eyes and glints of light on their heads and shoes clearly visible.
		Zool 2 is a good candidate to hold us over until some stunning platformers arrive in the future (like Rayman!).

		Personally, I am one of the people that love Zool 2 and I don't understand where everyone else is coming from.
		There were times that I would turn on my Jaguar, throw in Zool 2 and sit down and do something else just to listen to the tunes.
		The sounds aren't quite as perfect, and they actually are almost a little too "cute." They get very repetitive after a short period, but you are stuck with the same sounds the whole game.
