	Zrmanja - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Zrmanja is a river in northern Dalmatia, Croatia.
		It rises in the southern part of the Velebit mountain, flows southward and encircles the southern end of Velebit, and then turns westwards, reaches Obrovac, and after a few kilometers flows into the Adriatic sea in the cove named Novigradsko more.
		Zrmanja has recently become a target for rafting and safari tourism.

		Zrmanja, though in some places of unstable flow, is by many, the most beautiful of the mentioned rivers.
		Spring of Zrmanja is characteristic for its funnel shape on the bottom of which waters springs out abundantly, "boiling" among big moss covered rocks.

		The river in the northern part of Dalmatia, 69 km long, with a powerful spring at the foot of Velebit at 395 m altitude, flows into the Novigrad sea.
		Zrmanja abounds in perfectly warm water, magnificent canyons and waterfalls.
		Its crystal clear waters meander through a canyon in places up to 200 m deep, where Zrmanja formed lime-stone waterfalls of which Veliki buk is its greatest sight of nature owing to its extreme beauty and height of up to 10 m.

		The spring of Zrmanja is on 395 m above sea level, and the mouth in Novigrad sea regarding its entire flow of 69 km means it has an average fall of 5,7 m per kilometer.
		The average flow of the river Zrmanja in its spring part near Palanka is 5,2 m/sec, and in the lower part of the flow near Jankovića buk upstream from Obrovac 40 m/sec what is influenced by the tributary Krupa and numerous springs.
