		Paul Nasca's ZynAddSubFX is an interesting hybrid of additive and subtractive synthesis, with an added effects section for further processing.
		ZynAddSubFX is multi-timbral, with a different instrument per MIDI channel, making it another good choice for an all-purpose softsynth (minus drums, alas).
		As this article was being written, I learned that ZynAddSubFX is now JACK-aware (Figure 8), so with support for scales and tunings from Scala, the ALSA sequencer client configuration and JACK connectivity, this synth is a fine representative example of modern Linux audio software.

		ZynAddSubFX is very stable and produces some quality sounds,but it can hog the CPU pretty badly.It's just not optimized well.But it's far better than INTRO:takes very little RAM,starts instantly,and handles arpeggio and gating much better.
		You told me in a previous post that your build 2.2.1.1 Beta 5 displays as "ZynAddSubFX VSTi" in Reaper's Add New FX window which is enough a difference for the MD5 and SHA1 not to be same.
		ZynAddSubFX is open source software and as such it can be freely distributed by anyone as far as I know unlike the copies of proprietary closed-source software you are asking for.

	Ubuntu Studio Launcher and ZynAddSubFX - Ubuntu Forums
		I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both ZynAddSubFX and Ubuntu Studio Launcher.
		I've tried manually adding a new menu entry for ZynAddSubFX into the Ubuntu Applications menu and for some reason a desktop configuration file for it is never added to /usr/share/applications.
		Of course I know I could launch the apps on their own and continue with the tutorial but I'd like to get ZynAddSubFX listed for future use.
