	Island of Ist - Dalmatia - Croatia
		IST, an island in the Zadar archipelago, north of the island of Molat, separated from it by the Zapuntel strait; area 9.65 sq km; population 237.
		An average annual air temperature is - 14 °C, in January 5 °C and in July 23 °C. In the west Ist is surrounded by the island of Skarda and several islets.
		On the south-western coast is the Siroka Cove with the village of Ist.

		But regrettably the *ist D disappoints in a number of areas, and though I have been a fan of Pentax cameras for at least 40 years this model fails to live up to expectations.
		Unfortunately while small size is usually a virtue in a camera, in the case of the *ist D its diminutive size is something of a detriment.

	Pentax *ist D Review: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review
		The ist D is essentially a digital version of the ist film SLR announced the week before.
		The major physical difference between the two cameras (apart from all the digital controls on the rear of the ist D) is that the ist D appears to have a heavier metal subframe.
		The ist D is the first digital SLR Pentax has brought to market, they did announce and show a pre-production digital SLR a couple of years ago but that project was cancelled in favour of the ist D we see today.
