Visual, auditory and kinesthetic cues provide surprisingly accurate feedback to the experienced pilot.
When a pilot is undergoing flight training, the cruise attitude is usually one of the first things that they will learn.

 Encyclopedia: Visual flight
For an article on visual flight as it relates to airplanes, and to a great extent gliders and hang gliders, see visual flight (airplanes).
Visual flight is the control of an aircraft by using the view from the aircraft as the primary reference point.
It is easier to watch for other traffic when using visual flight, since the pilot is looking mainly outside the aircraft.

 VFR
Flight levels for the purpose of the seperation of airplanes are intended surfaces in the atmosphere, which are certain by fixed indicator values of an altimeter adjusted to 1013,2 hectopascal.
Flights to visual flight rules at night with air sport devices, excluded single-seat jump parachutes, are not permitted.
Flight visibility is the view in flight direction from the pilot's compartment of an aircraft in the flight.

Erroneous Flight Instrument Information - Text Only
Flight deck automation and flight control technology, coupled with excellent systems reliability and redundancy, allow flight crews to easily control their airplanes from takeoff to touchdown regardless of outside visibility.
In addition, the flight instruments on newer airplanes provide more information to flight crews during flight, and that information is more precise.
Flight crews should be aware of the approximate body attitude and thrust for each flight maneuver.

Flight Simulator 2004 comes complete with amazing tutorials that encompass all aspects of flight training beginning at the student level then gradually adding more complex lessons as you move through Private Pilot, Instrument Rated, Commercial, and Airline Transportation training.
While computers have always been able to handle the mathematical concepts and laws of physics that keep a plane in the air, only now has the graphics technology actually allowed us to experience flight with a visual accuracy previous reserved for million-dollar military flight sims.
The included scenarios actually let you recreate historic flights such as the 1903 flight of the Wright Brothers, or make the New York to Paris hop that Lindbergh made in 1927.

 Aircraft Calling Tower, Go Ahead
Airplanes may fly under two different sets of rules: Instrument Flight Rules, or IFR, and Visual Flight Rules, or VFR.
In addition to directing airplanes, Controllers also make weather observations and pass that information on to a Flight Service Station (this is where pilots call to get up-to-date weather information).
A Local Controller directs airplanes to the airport for landings and advises them of other airplanes flying inthe area, so the pilot can look out for the other planes.

Cargo/transport airplanes have a lot of room inside them to carry things that would ordinarily be too large or too heavy to carry on other types of airplanes.
Fighter airplanes were used for the first time in World War I. Today, most fighters have advanced computer, navigational, and weapons systems and are able to maneuver quickly and precisely in case they have to participate in aerial combat.
You may be wondering why there are so many different types of airplanes out there.

The statement usually goes something like, "Airplanes fly because the top surface of the wing is curved." To the extent that that statement implies a necessary condition, as most any reasonable listener would have to say that it does, it is simply wrong.
