Of course, if you voided August and have no other score you will need to take the MCAT and apply next year.
On another note, if you did take the August MCAT and medical schools do not know you took the August test (i.e., you submitted an AMCAS application without telling them of your intent to take the MCAT again in August) make sure to let medical schools know that another MCAT score will be coming.
