BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Oct 3 (Reuters) - The seizure of the president's jet and confiscation of navy vessels are among possible scenarios if Argentina's debt restructuring turns into a messy legal battle between the government and its creditors.
Furious over the Argentine government's recent offer to pay only 25 cents for every dollar on $94 billion in debt it defaulted on last year, some creditors are bypassing the negotiating table and going straight to courtrooms in the United States and Europe to try to get their money back.
A drawn-out legal battle would admittedly cut both ways though, since bondholders would be unable to collect money in the interim.
