Christian Slater (born Christian Michael Leonard Hawkins on August 18, 1969 in New York City) is an American actor.
Slater also turned down the lead in The Crow (1994), leading producers to actor Brandon Lee--who would become permanently linked with the film and its story when he was accidentally killed on the set of the film.
Christian was joking with a reporter in one of his first interviews, and it was somehow printed as fact.

MAY 31--Actor Christian Slater was arraigned this afternoon on sexual abuse charges for allegedly groping a female pedestrian's butt on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
The "grab and squeeze" bust is the latest run-in with the law for Slater, who has previously been nabbed for trying to carry a gun on an airplane and for a wild drug-and booze-fueled rampage in Los Angeles.
Oh, and his now-estranged wife was busted in Las Vegas in November 2003 for roughing him up--nine stitches in the noggin--during a domestic dispute.

Slater, 35, was taken into custody in an Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan after police responded to a call from a woman who said she had been attacked while walking, said New York Police Sgt. Mary Doherty.
Slater has starred in films such as "Interview with the Vampire," released in 1994, 1996's "Broken Arrow," and "Heathers" in 1989.

Slater was found nearby and the woman identified him as the man who groped her.
