Cú Roí -- Facts, Info, and Encyclopedia article
Cúchulainn tried to stop him taking her, but Cú Roí cut his hair and drove him into the ground up to his armpits, before escaping, taking Blathnat with him.
In one version of the story, Cú Roí's soul was hidden in an apple in the belly of a salmon which lived in a stream in the mountains of Slieve Mish, and only surfaced once every seven years; Blathnat discovered the secret and told Cúchulainn, who killed the fish, enabling him to kill Cú Roí.
However Ferchertne, Cú Roí's poet, enraged at the betrayal of his lord, grabbed Blathnat and leaped off a cliff, killing her and himself.

Bradley University 1999 Irish Multimedia Safari
Cu Roi mac Dari was a legendary sorcerer, an evil magician who resided in the south of Ireland in the dim mists of the prehistoric Iron Age.
When Cu Chulainn would not agree to turn his lover over to Cu Roi, the magician turned upon him, thrust him into the earth to his armpits, cropped his hair with his sword, rubbed cow-dung into his head, and then went home to his fort on top of the mountain.
Although Cu Roi was, by right, able to claim as his reward the lovely lady Blathnad, Cu Chulainn wanted the woman for himself.

 USG&T
Once activated the CU is in continuous use, generating the signal inaudibly and coupling it with the electrical current as it alternates its direction of flow.
The CU plugs into the powerline and will "piggyback" the signal onto this current altering the powerline's own electromagnetic field in the designated area network.
The electricity alternates its flow over the powerline (Alternating Current or AC), back and forth with a frequency of 60Hz, in the process creating an electromagnetic field.

Drilling during the year also tested a possible western strike extension of the Powerline Deposit, where a second smaller massive sulfide lens was identified grading up to 4.9% Cu, 1.9% Ni and 15.2 g/t TPM over 6.3 ft. Drilling down-plunge and further to the west of the Powerline Deposit encountered no significant mineralization.
The 2003 drilling was focused on defining the limits of the Powerline Deposit and to locate a possible extension below the 600 ft vertical level, where mineralization was truncated by a fault.
The Powerline Deposit is associated with a narrowing or constriction in the host Offset Quartz Diorite Dyke where the Dyke wallrocks exhibit intense shearing and brecciation.

A powerline interface at the telephone entrance digitizes and transfers the signals from both phone lines to the powerline, from whence they're plucked by phones plugged in anywhere in the house.
Moreover, the powerlines are fat compared to phone and cable (why would they object to carrying data along with all that power?).
That scale is both the cause and the result of the fact that powerline chips are embedded in virtually every electronic device and appliance in your house, and as prices continue to drop, it looks like simpler devices such as light fixtures will be next.

As to Cu Roi's judgment upon these three, not a whit did he concede to Cu Chulainn upon their arriving at Emain." Cu Chulainn then declared that he by no means coveted the winning of it; for the loss thence resulting to the winner would be on a par with the profit got from it.
Thereupon Cu Chulainn let the palace down until seven feet of the wattle entered the ground; the whole stronghold shook, and Bricriu's balcony was laid flat to the earth in such a way that Bricriu and his queen toppled down until they fell into the ditch in the middle of the courtyard among the dogs.
