		Dauphin County is a county located in the state of Pennsylvania and is one of four counties comprising the greater Harrisburg metropolitan area.
		Dauphin County was created on March 4, 1785 from part of Lancaster County and named for the Dauphin, the heir to the throne of France.
		In the county, the population was spread out with 24.30% under the age of 18, 7.60% from 18 to 24, 30.10% from 25 to 44, 23.80% from 45 to 64, and 14.20% who were 65 years of age or older.
