 Meir Kahane - ExampleProblems.com
Kahane adhered to the belief that there is no such thing as a Palestinian people; that in fact the people who call themselves Palestinian are a mixture of disparate and unrelated Arab clans with no claim to ethnic identity, and that all native Palestinian Arabs seek the genocide of the Israelis.
Kahane was also in contact with Joe Colombo, head of the Colombo mafia family, and was with him in 1971 when Colombo was shot dead by the Gallo family.
Kahane's legislation proposals (and motions of no-confidence in the Government) were all rejected by vote, until the Knesset modified its charter to outlaw legislation proposals, not requiring rejection by vote.

Kahanism is an extreme right-wing Zionist fringe movement, named after one of its major proponents, the Rabbi Meir Kahane.
The major premise of Kahanism is that the Arabs seek to exterminate the Jews, and that a Greater Israel, ethnically cleansed of Arabs, should be created in at minimum present-day Israel plus the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The deadliest Kahanist terrorist attack was Baruch Goldstein's massacre at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, in 1994, in which 29 Palestinians were gunned down.

 Kach and Kahane Chai
Kach and Kahane Chai are Right Wing Jewish organizations which have been condemned as extremist and declared illegal by Israeli authorities for committing and supporting acts of terrorism against the Israeli Arab minority, and Israel's government.
The actions of Kach and Kahane Chai have in fact gone far beyond the threats and harassment outlined by the US State Department, and have included killings, such as 29 Palestinians killed in a mass killing attack by by member Baruch Goldstein.
Kahane Chai was led by Meir's son Binyamin until he was killed in an ambush by Palestinian extremists in 2000.

Roots of Kahanism: Consciousness and Political Reality by Aviezer Ravitzky
The public support accorded to Meir Kahane and his movement, both in the last Knesset elections and afterwards, came as a surprise to many, and to this day the issue continues to be a focal point of public attention.
In Kahane's consciousness the balance is tipped, decisively, on the side of God's physical prowess—the historic manifestation of the Lord of Hosts with great force and a strong hand: "The Jewish state—symbol of power and might, the power and might and the palpable existence of the God of Israel.

I am outright shocked by the general hate to kahane and kahanism, To tell you the truth is doesnt suprise me much considering most people havent got a bleep what kahane was about.
Kahane was banned from the keneset under a law drawn up specifically to ban him, Kahane was expected to garner 12 seats and it scared the crap out of everyone.
Kahane then wrote the book “referendum or revolution” calling for a boycot of israeli politix and puting the vote in the hand of the people, letting them vote if they wanted a jewish state or a state of jews.

The only difference is that Rabbi Meir Kahane, his followers, and the current transferists on the Right, like Rabbi Benny Elon and the Moledet/National Union Party, want to "Transfer" the Arabs out of the Land of Israel and "Transfer" full control of the Land to the Jews.
He always spoke of "Havdalah," that is "Separation" between the Jews and the Arabs in the Land of Israel.
By 1994 "Separation" was revived, but not the "Separation" of Rabbi Kahane to remove the Arabs from the Land of Israel and end terror attacks, but "Transfer" of the Jews from Yesha - Judea and Samaria - the West Bank and Gaza, back into pre-1967 Israel, to "separate" from the Arabs.

The Head Heeb: Altneuland In the comments section
Zionism, as envisioned by its founder and as practiced by many of its subsequent adherents, was an anti-racist movement - neither an ideology of racial superiority nor one of racial exclusivity.
There are Zionists who have been racists, and there are offshoots of Zionist ideology - Kahanism, certainly - that are racist in nature, but these are perversions of Zionism rather than integral parts of it.
At the present time, with the conflict between Jews and Arabs creating divisions both within Israel and between Israel and its neighbors, it might be time to rediscover what Zionism is, and re-examine the conception of Arabs in the original Zionist vision.

As the demonstration became a confrontation--people screamed, shouted, and whistled to prevent Kahane from speaking--Cohen-Almagor felt increasing discomfort.
In the name of democracy, the protesters were using the same tactics against Kahane that Kahane would use against his own opposition.
The paradox was the impetus behind this work, which proposes to overcome what Cohen-Almagor calls the "catch" of democracy, the idea that the principles that underlie any political system might also bring about its destruction.

Kahanism is a far greater danger to Jews than is the progressivism of Michael Lerner and the Tikkun community.
