		A motherboard, also known as a mainboard, logic board, or system board, and sometimes abbreviated as mobo (generally credited to the magazine Maximum PC), is the central or primary circuit board making up a complex electronic system, such as a computer.
		Most electrical devices have a board where logical processing begins when the device is powered on.
		In general, this would be identified as the mainboard or the planar board.

		I have a Dell latitude CPX P 2 r 450 with a 14.1 monitor, I want to replace the mother board with a board that is capable of a P 3 chip, approximetly 700 Mgh.
		I've been looking on ebay and it looks like a mother board out of a inspiron 3800 would work but I'm not sure, suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
		I wish all of us laptop users could do that like a desktop users.problem is most laptop vendors change vendors from model to model and year to year.most laptop motherboards are custum made and cut for that model.some vendors like toshiba and ibm will use same model across three or four of there models.

		i think u would be better served by a server quality board and tons of ram running win2k pro and a single blazing fast cpu if u want power for the home user.
		Mainly because it's far more appealing to keep hardware affordable for the normal user that way and yet still be able to boost performance.
