	Schleswig - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Schleswig was a Danish duchy that evolved in the 11-12th century.
		The Duchy of Schleswig was in personal union with the kingdom of Denmark from 1460, and a fief under the Danish Crown until 1864.
		In 1864 Schleswig-Holstein became a part of Prussia until a referendum in 1920 resulted in the region being split with Northern Schleswig rejoining Denmark, and Southern Schleswig voting to remain a part of Germany.
