Taijitu are the only hatchlings that do not view themselves as two separate creatures.
Though each has their own aspects, they are complementary opposites to the same whole, neither one of them is more important than the other, and neither can exist without the other—thus, they exist as one creature, rather than two conjoined.

The Chinese Symbol Of Accepting Change
Central component of Taoism, Taijitu, which is the fl and white symbol of Tao, is considered to convey the fundamental force of nature, or the "noble way" of personal conduct in life.
With the two opposite colored dots inside each complementary feature of the taijitu image, Chinese reveal the fact that within Yin there is a little of Yang; the white dot inside the fl portion of the symbol and reversely.
Moreover, taijitu represents the constant human battle of understanding this change and entering a stage of harmony and fulfillment.

His "Explanation of the Diagram of the Supreme Polarity" (Taijitu shuo), as interpreted by Zhu, became the accepted foundation of Neo-Confucian cosmology.
The question is significant, for had it not been for Zhu Xi's estimation of him, Zhou's writings would almost certainly not have become as central to the Neo-Confucian tradition as they are.
They apparently were not widely known outside the circle of the Chengs and their students until the twelfth century, and today the only extant editions besides those edited by Zhu Xi are the Taijitu shuo in the Daoist Canon and the Tongshu in another anthology[4], neither of which is accompanied by a commentary.

One of these is the problem of aliasing: a type of artifact introduced by representing something smooth or continuous in a discrete way, such sound in a digital recording or the curved taijitu (yin/yang) symbol on a 72 dots per inch computer screen.
The postscript must be generated from the original vectors.) One way to produce smooth images for the screen is to simply shrink larger images.

 Dualism
This is also true of the lesser-known Christian gnostic religions, such as Bogomils, Catharism, etc. These may then be contrasted with Marcionism, which held that the Old and New Testaments were the work of two opposing gods with neither having a superior instance (both were First Principles, but of different religions).
The Taijitu symbolizes the duality in nature and all things in the Taoist religion.
Alternatively, dualism can mean the tendency of humans to perceive and understand the world as being divided into two overarching categories.
