There are four sources that the FDA requires to be described during the commercial: that more information is available from your physician or pharmacist; that you can call an 800 number; that you can access an Internet site; or that you can find more information in a print ad in a publication.
If including all of this information into a 60-second commercial seems challenging, it is. That's why the announcers often speak quickly, and that's why certain information such as the web site address or the 800 number is on the screen for such a short period of time.
Surveys show that TV commercials do stimulate consumers to call or visit their physicians, and receive the prescription drug as much as 80% of the time.

This commercial seems to exist to introduce the battle between G. Hasbro ran this commercial to promote the G. This commercial was made in late 1982 and even may have been in early 1983.
Thanks to our commercial character, if it can't be said in six words or less, if you can't get it into a 30-second TV commercial, if it doesn't fit on a T-Shirt, we haven't got time to consider it.

One of TV's first stars was the Old Gold dancing cigarette pack of the 1950s, a truly bizarre advertising concoction - an oversized cigarette pack with lovely legs that danced aimlessly around in front of a curtain while the announcer promised a taste, "made by tobacco men, not medicine men."
Big movie stars were happy to endorse smokes on TV as well, and the biggest celebrity of the era was John Wayne.
