Worcestershire County Cricket Club is a county cricket club based at New Road, Worcester, England.
The club was formed on 11 March 1865, and attained first-class status in 1899.
Worcestershire's first period of great success came in the 1960s under the Presidency of Sir George Dowty, when the county won two County Championships thanks to the achievements of such players as Norman Gifford, Tom Graveney, Jack Flavell, Len Coldwell and Basil D'Oliveira.

To save fans driving through the inevitable heavy traffic as up to 20,000 people head for the Worcestershire County Cricket Club, the County Council is running a park and ride service from Perdiswell for those coming from the north, and also from County Hall for those approaching from the south.
Under-19 passengers are free with ID showing proof of age and passengers who are Worcestershire residents aged 60 or over, or who have a disability, also travel free with their concessionary bus travel passes.
Doors open for the concert at 4pm and the concert is due to end no later than 10pm – so last departures from the Cricket Club leave New Road at 11.30pm to make sure all park and riders get safely back to their vehicles.

Various individuals also raised `county` elevens between 1861 and 1867, before a meeting at The Castle Hotel in Neath led to the creation of the Glamorganshire CCC in 1869.
Members of the defunct South Wales CC and Glamorganshire club were instrumental in the creation of Glamorgan CCC in 1888, and without their involvement the present county club might not have been formed.
